AAJA Member News: December 2016 Roundup

sharonpchanSharon Pian Chan (AAJA-Seattle) has been named vice president of innovation, product and development at The Seattle Times. She first joined the organization as an intern and spent many years as a reporter covering global institutions based in the Seattle area. In this new role, she will continue to lead content funding and development as well as lead the Times’ product team in building products to distribute content. Sharon is currently pursuing a masters in business administration at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and has served as national president for AAJA. adamcauseyAdam Kealoha Causey (AAJA-Arizona) has recently been appointed to administrative correspondent for the Associated Press in Oklahoma City, OK. In this new position, he will oversee reporters in Oklahoma City and Tulsa and work with a team to produce breaking news and content. Adam first joined the Associated Press in Pheonix in 2015 and previously worked for the Las Vegas Review-Journal, where he was a reporter and an assistant city editor for breaking news and crime coverage. Adam has taught journalism at Arizona State University and the University of North Florida and has worked for the Florida Times-Union and The Shreveport Times. Follow Adam on Twitter at @akcausey.
